Karen Graves

Karen has been working in the Lloyd’s and London market for over 30 years, starting her career in the compliance arena, moving on to a COO and then a CEO role within the Lloyd’s market for an established Lloyd’s Managing Agency. She is also the Senior Independent Director for the USAA Limited and USAA SA and Vice Chair of a Multi-Academy Trust. SCOR SE was her first Global Reinsurance role and within scope fall operational matters, oversight and coordination of EMEA satellite offices (Madrid, Milan, Stockholm, Dublin, Moscow, Amsterdam, South Africa and Brussels), Internal Controls, Operational Risk Management, Regulatory Relationships, Property Affairs, Hub Compliance and working with the business divisions on new projects from a strategic perspective. Her experience, prior to SCOR SE, has included establishing offices overseas, taking part in EU College of Supervisors meetings and rolling out compliance processes, with a particular emphasis on corporate governance. Karen is a Freeman of the Worshipful Company of Insurers and Chair of the Independent Women in Insurance Committee (iWIN). A Founder Member of European Council for the Advancement of Women in Leadership and addition to this a supporter of the Lloyd’s Military Network for senior officers leaving the Armed Forces. As a supporter of educational diversity Karen is Vice Chair of the Burnt Mill Academy Trust, and as a keen painter a member of Lloyd’s Art Group. Age and educational diversity are of particular interest and she often takes part in presentations and conferences on these topics, along with being an ally to LGBTQ colleagues.

Mitra Janes

Mitra Janes joined RSA as Group Head of Diversity and Inclusion in January 2019. She is responsible for the development and implementation of RSA’s global D&I strategy, managing RSA’s external D&I reporting commitments and ensuring the Group Board and Executive Committee are provided with regular updates on D&I progress. Prior to joining RSA, Mitra had spent nearly 5 years at global law firm DLA Piper as Head of Diversity and Inclusion. In this role, she was responsible for leading the development and delivery of the firm’s D&I strategy including the D&I training curriculum, the introduction of a gender talent pipeline roadmap and the introduction of employee resource groups. Mitra spent a significant proportion of her career in generalist HR positions at Ford Motor Company before specialising in diversity and inclusion. Mitra’s focus and specialism in Diversity and Inclusion stems from her passion for ensuring that everyone feels valued and included and has an opportunity to contribute. She was featured on the Global Diversity List’s top 50 diversity professionals in industry.

Siân Jones

Siân Jones is a leading international speaker and coach, helping others exude confidence in the spotlight; on stage, on camera and on line. She utilises her 20 years experience as a TV presenter, (ITV, Bloomberg, Sky News, 5 and CNBC) writer and actress, giving her a unique perspective on what it takes to create and deliver a compelling performance. Her training methodology incorporates these aspects together with her NLP and storytelling expertise and has been described by many as ‘inspirational.’ 

Romaney O'Malley

Romaney O'Malley is Chief Financial Officer for AIG in the UK.  Prior to this role Romaney held a number of leadership roles within AIG, including leading the UK Regions, leading industry strategy for Commercial Europe and as General Manager for AIG Belgium & Luxembourg.  Romaney joined AIG as the CFO for Africa and the Head of Capital Management for Emerging Markets in 2010. Prior to joining AIG, Romaney worked with a number of financial services companies, primarily in London including Swiss Re, GE Insurance Solutions and Aviva PLC. Romaney qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Ernst & Young in Sydney and holds a Bachelor degrees in Commerce and Economics from the Australian National University.

Iveren Yongo

Iveren Yongo was first exposed to the insurance industry in 2014, following an internship with Travelers. After achieving her Masters in Chemistry from The University of Manchester, Iveren joined the Travelers Graduate Programme in 2017 as a Trainee Underwriter in the Bond & Specialty team, completing rotations in their Professional Indemnity, Management Liability, Financial Institution and Cyber teams. She became a Trainee Cyber Underwriter in October 2018 and is now an Associate Cyber Underwriter after completing the programme in 2019.

Iveren is keen supporter of giving back to the wider community and is a Q Mentor at Queen Mary University of London, a Member Board of Trustees for Tower Hamlets Education Business Partnership and Executive Committee Member/ Student Relations Manager for The Afro-Caribbean Insurance Association.
